Most suspension seats stop at the spring
Spring only
A spring takes a hit and hands the energy straight back. On corrugations, the seat bounces on every ripple, and plenty of factory and budget seats stop there.
Spring and shock
Our seats pair the spring with a shock absorber. The shock slows the rebound, so the seat settles in one movement before the next ripple arrives.
Planted on the pedals
With the bounce under control, you stay steady on the throttle and brake, and your back stops absorbing what the road sends up.

How it feels 400 km into the Gibb
Your back
Less jarring up the spine on washboard roads, so you climb out at camp and get straight into setting up.
Your focus
Fatigue builds from thousands of small hits. Cutting them down keeps you sharp through the last hours of a long drive.
Your control
A damped seat holds you steady through every rut, so your foot stays where you put it on the throttle and brake.
Your passenger
Passenger-side seats are available too, so the person riding next to you gets the same steady ride.
Seats to suit the vehicles WA drives hard
Choose your vehicle to see what we check before fitting, then send it through for a quote. Exact fitment is confirmed at quote.
LandCruiser 79 Series
Single, dual and space cab. The workhorse of WA station and mine roads, with a tight cab where fit matters. We check headroom in a low cab (measured with you in the seat), seat mount and base depth, and seatbelt buckle position.
LandCruiser 76 Series Wagon
Station wagon. Long-range touring wagon that spends days on gravel. We check rail and mount position, seatbelt and airbag setup, and clearance to the rear seat.
Nissan Patrol
Wagon and cab chassis, including early GQ and GU. Patrols still doing the hard yards on the Canning and the Gibb. We check headroom (especially for taller drivers), mount and rail position, and seatbelt and airbag setup.
Light trucks
Isuzu N Series, Hino 300, Fuso Canter and similar. Trade, transport and mine support trucks running factory spring-only seats. We check mount depth under the seat, cab headroom, and scheduling multiple vehicles through the workshop.
Seating know-how from haul trucks and 12-hour shifts
Minetrans has spent over 20 years supplying, fitting and repairing operator seats for WA mining, haulage and construction fleets. Those operators sit through vibration for a full shift, every shift, and their seats have to cope.
We’ve brought that experience to the seats in your 4WD and work truck. Your seat is fitted in the same Welshpool workshop, to the standard we hold fleet seats to.

Before you book
Will a suspension seat fit my vehicle?
Most likely, if it’s in the fit finder above. Send us the make, model and year, and we’ll confirm fit before you commit to anything.
Does it work with my seatbelt and airbags?
We check the seatbelt and airbag setup for your vehicle before we quote. If a seat can’t be fitted safely in your vehicle, we’ll tell you.
Will it sit me higher?
A suspension base needs room to travel, so some setups add height. In low cabs like the 79 Series we check headroom with you first, and we can talk through lower-profile options.
What's the difference between this and my factory seat?
Most factory seats in these vehicles have foam and springs, with no shock absorber. A damped suspension seat controls the bounce, so you feel fewer of the hits and the seat settles faster after each one.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the vehicle, the seat and the mounting. Send your details and we’ll come back with a written quote.
Can I get matching seat covers?
Yes. Our sister brand SupaFit Seat Covers makes covers for most vehicles on the Australian market. Ask us when you quote.
I run a fleet of light trucks. Can you do them all?
Yes. Fleet seating is what Minetrans does every day. Talk to us about scheduling vehicles through the workshop and pricing for multiple seats.
